Yeah, totally! 99% of the time “laziness” is a lazy explanation—usually there’s something more subtle going on psychologically (i.e. some strong emotion that we’re not completely aware of and certainly not very well equipped to manage effectively).

But applying the label of lazy (to our self or others) just adds more “emotional” friction to the system and perpetuates the problem.
