This is a great point. I think about this in the context of my work as a therapist. While “fixing what’s wrong” is often the most immediate and necessary goal of therapy, I think—at it’s best—therapy can (and should) be about exactly what you’re describing, “reflecting on our most fundamental priorities.”

Maybe we need more philosophers turned psychotherapists… 🤔😆
