Love (šŸ˜‰) this idea of love as a verb not a noun.

Thereā€™s a writing principle that says you should always avoid nominalizatioms in your writingā€Šā€” that is, turning verbs into nouns (eg ā€œthe decision was reached to end the conflictā€ compared to ā€œwe decided to end the conflictā€) since it makes for punchier, more dynamic prose.

Iā€™ve often thought that the same thing applies psychologicallyā€Šā€” why do we think of cheerfulness as a thing and a feeling rather than a decision and a behavior? Same with love as you point out.

Good stuff Niklas!
