Great question! The first thing that comes to mind is that while intelligence is thought to be largely domain-general, Adaptive Thinking is almost always highly domain specific (i.e. a surgeon with high Adaptive Thinking would not show simialr levels of Adaptive Thinking if you thre them into the cockpit of a fighter jet.)
