Are you implying value and meaningfulness are the same thing?

And so the question remains: how can something have value — matter — if there is no God that sets an overarching purpose?

Are you implying value and meaningfulness are the same thing? They seem different to me. Value seems more subjective whereas meaning seems more objective.
